Writing Wk 4 Term 1 2021

 Kia ora.

We are learning that an adjective is a word that describes a noun. Writers add adjectives to their sentences as it helps them paint a clear picture in a reader’s mind about the characters and places they are reading about.

Maths week 4 term 1 2021

ohaeawai school values

Kia ora

This couple of weeks we haven't  all been doing the right thing and the teachers want us to be more responsible. I have made a google drawing of all our school values.  The hard part was that I really had to think about all the values. The easy part was that it was really easy to write down. The learning behind this task was to show our school values and how we shall always use them.

Waitangi blog

We are learning about Captian William Hobson and what he was doing to get the treaty of Waitangi up and running. We learned that Captian William Hobson sailed to the Bay of islands of New Zealand in 1837. He was told that there were lots of wars between the Maori iwi. Captian William Hobson went back to England in 1838 to say that the British should be in charge of New Zealand in 1840. So Captian William Hobson started to write the Treaty of Waitangi with the help of James Freeman. Here is a poster what we learnt.
